7:00 pm Opening Prayer - Vespers - Holy Spirit Chapel - PastorPASTOR'S REPORT:
Fr. Juettner expressed his gratitude and that of his family to all parishioners responsible for the wonderful celebrations marking his 25th Anniversary of Priesthood. A public acknowledgement of appreciation from Father and his family was found in the parish bulletin for Sunday, June 6th.
He also stated that the 7th anniversary Perpetual Adoration was held in Church with an indoor procession of the Blessed Sacrament due to inclement weather on June 1st.
Finally Father identified some of the special events for Sundays later this Fall including the dates of observance for the Stewardship of Time, Talents and Treasure and for the promotion of the Vocations to Religious Sisters and permanent Deacons.
CHAIR'S REPORT:
Jim Hentges presented Council members with an updated list of their addresses and phone numbers, including e-mail addresses for their convenience.
Copies of the published report describing the themes treated by the parish representatives for the Archdiocesan Gathering of Lay Leaders (held in March 2004) were also presented to Council members.
SECRETARY'S REPORT:
Rita Degnan reported that the parish Finance Committee was approaching the final steps to approve the parish budget for 2004-05, including input received from the School Advisory Commission.
Fr. Pedersen gave a comprehensive overview of the Archbishop's Evangelization Initiative for the next five years to Council members. Efforts to organize parish leaders for this Archdiocesan-wide program is now actively in place. There is a need to identify the names of facilitators for the small groups that will begin later this year.
Jeanine Machan stated that the parish 50th Anniversary Commemorative book continues on schedule with special due dates for completed sections in mid-July and then a careful proof-reading to follow.
Joe Haefliger commented that the members of the Stewardship Committee would continue to meet during the summer. Education on stewardship principles and its embrace as a way of Christian life will remain the focus of this committee. It is helpful to define the Christian steward as one who is aware of his/her gifts and talents, and is able to express gratitude to God through a proper use of the gifts of time, talent, and resources for the good of the Church and society.
Tom Trksak reported that the effort to establish a new Catholic Social Teachings Committee in the parish moves forward. Later this summer a letter of invitation to a select number of parishioners will be sent to inform and encourage membership of the committee. Presently six parishioners have respond with some interest in this new committee after reading the special announcement in previous parish bulletins.
OLD BUSINESS:
The final preparations for the parish Volunteer Appreciation dinner on June 23rd were discussed.
NEW BUSINESS:
ELECTION OF COUNCIL OFFICERS for 2004-2005:

Finally, an informal evaluation of the meetings and topics of the Parish Council during the past year was made. The progress and the accomplishments of the past ten meetings seemed to meet the expectations of Council members in a very satisfactory way.
Closing Prayer by Jeanine Machan.
