The third Sunday of each month we have the NEAR Nudge. This is our monthly food collection for the NEAR Food Shelf, located in Crystal, MN. Parishioners are asked to bring bagged, non-perishable, food items to Mass and place them on the altar. We also accept financial donations, which can be placed in any Sunday collection in an envelop marked NEAR Food Shelf.
Suggested items to donate: hot/cold cereals; pancake mixes (add water); pancake syrup; canned goods (fruits, juices, veggies, stews, soups, meats, Tuna); boxed potatoes & dinners; pastas; spaghetti sauce; rice; navy beans; macaroni & cheese; instant potatoes; peanut butter; jelly; instant cocoa (add water); powdered milk; flour; shortening; sugar (brown/white); chocolate chips; bars; cakes; brownies; cookies; frosting; pie crusts; pie fillings; Jell-O; spices; condiments; salad dressings; paper products; cleaning supplies; bar/dish/laundry soaps.
