Grades 1-7
Students will develop an understanding of the basics of our Catholic faith and begin to form a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:15 pm in St. Raphael School.
Grade 8
The students will acquire a deeper understanding of their Catholic Faith, continue to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and develop a positive attitude in their ability to meet the challenges of this stage in their development. 8th Grade teens are involved in a rotation of religious education classes, the Experience Youth Group, and Wednesday Prayer Gatherings. These are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15 pm.
ROC (Rite of Confirmation) Grades 9 & 10
The ROC program involves a two-year commitment towards preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. All teens in the 9th and 10th grades who are home schooled, attend public school, Catholic or other private schools and want to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in our parish are expected to register for the ROC program. Family Centered Catechises
This program is for students in grades 1-6 and parents who wish to teach their children at home. Using provided textbooks and lesson plans, students and their parents will discuss and do activities to develop an understanding of basics of their Catholic faith and form a relationship with Jesus Christ. Parents and students will meet with the Director of Religious Education.
Sacramental Tutoring
Sacramental tutoring is available for school age children who wish to prepare to receive a sacrament that other students of their age level have already received. Rite of Christian Initiation of Children classes are arranged by age and need.
Special Needs Program
This program encourages children with special needs to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus through working with a catechist on a one-on-one basis.
